About
Birmingham Education Foundation facilitates opportunities for community leaders to lend their voices and experience directly to Birmingham City School students in grades 7-12. This event is a volunteer training activity that will prepare potential Ed Ambassadors for participation as speakers, hosts, and program facilitators during in-school sessions and one of four conferences scheduled during the 2019-2020 school year. Individuals will be instructed on expectations and prepared to work with students in a variety of professional capacities including workshop facilitators, interactive lecturers, booth vendors, timekeepers, competition judges, interviewers, or conference guides. Meet and network with fellow like-minded business owners and professionals with a heart towards giving back, while also being enriched by the vibrancy and creativity of local youth. A minimal background check will be required prior to service.
