Student Book Order Deliveries - P.M. Shifts

Friday, May 22nd to Saturday, June 6th, 2020

About

Deliveries are separated in A.M. and P.M. shifts on our page. Click the day part that best fits your schedule, then find a day and time slot as well. The 15 minute time slot you choose will be the window for you to arrive at the Books for Keeps warehouse to pick up your orders for delivery. Please make the necessary preparations needed to arrive at the start of your 15 minute window as that time will be necessary for you to verify your orders and pack your vehicle. If you arrive prior to your pick-up window, please park and wait until your registered arrival time even if the loading dock is clear.
At the beginning of your time slot, pull in to the loading dock to find your deliveries waiting on the ledge along with a packet of invoices to accompany each bag. Before packing your vehicle,  you'll need to make sure that all the bag tag order numbers have an invoice to match them. The invoice packet with student addresses will be your route sheet, so keep that with you. It is essential that you sanitize your hands and wear a face covering before checking your packet, loading your bags, and dropping them off.

Your invoice packet will also include the attached infographic, detailing all information covered here in this email, as well as what to do at each stop. Please review the entire sheet before registering for your shift to make sure that this is the right volunteer opportunity for you.

Please review the Book Delivery Instructions before registering for a shift!

***Important info on getting to the warehouse***

Athena Drive is currently under construction, preventing you from reaching the warehouse from Old Hull Road. Instead, you should get off Loop 10 at Exit 9 for Peter St/Olympic Dr. Take a right off the exit and follow the road until you get to the first light. You'll take a left there onto Athena Drive. The Books for Keeps warehouse will be less than a mile down the road on your left.
