Inspire girls to be strong, smart and bold by becoming a GIRLS GUIDE

Open Opportunity

About

You believe that girls are strong, smart, and bold. Our Girls Guide volunteer opportunity is the essential way to be involved directly with girls and deliver our gender specific, research-based programs. By engaging volunteers, we are able to extend our reach across the Portland Metro area and give more girls access to the Girls Inc. experience.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
  • You will be matched with another facilitator and will meet other volunteers at our group trainings
  • Build solid relationships with girls while inspiring and empowering them
  • Experience the fulfillment that goes along with making a difference in girls‘ lives
  • Girls Inc. will provide you with training in group facilitation, age-appropriate and gender specific program delivery, and highly researched, ready-made curricula and activities for you to implement with our Girls Groups
TIME COMMITMENT
  • Our programs are typically delivered after school, Monday - Thursday, and take place between 2PM and 6PM
  • Group meetings are usually held once per week for 8-10 weeks in the fall, winter, and spring
  • Most groups meet for 60-120 minutes
  • Expect to commit 3 hours per week (which includes prep time and wrap up), plus 4-6 hours for training
