We have made many adjustments due to the Coronavirus to help ensure your safety and the health and safety of those we serve. We are working outside serving boxes of food in a mobile food distribution. There is ample social distancing, hand sanitizer provided, and we are asking volunteers to bring their own face covering/mask. We still need volunteers to come help us direct traffic and distribute this food to our neighbors in need. However following CDC guidelines, all staff/volunteers at high-risk of severe illness from COVID-19 will be prohibited from serving at this time.
Wondering if you should register to volunteer? Based on the CDC guidelines, we are asking you the following questions:
- Have you been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19? See the CDC’s risk assessment guidance.
- Do you have symptoms consistent with COVID-19? Symptoms can include a cough or shortness of breath or at least two of the following: Fever, Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell. See the CDC’s symptom information.
