About

Using surplus food collected from grocery stores and farmer's markets, volunteers will be guided in a variety of food preparation methods. From soups and side dishes, to baked goods, volunteers will learn various methods of adding value to and preserving food to compliment meals that are delivered weekly. In the past we have made muffins, fruit cups, soups, broth, and fruit preserves. UGA students and community members of all culinary backgrounds are welcome (no experience necessary)! Volunteers will be given a brief food safety and kitchen training before they begin. **You must be 15 years old or older to register.
***If a volunteer slot is asking for a code then it has been reserved for a volunteer group. Please look for another opening that requires no code.
***All VAP shifts are now located at First Presbyterian Church
