Convict Hill Quarry Park: March Mulch Madness

Saturday, March 4th, 2017 from 9:00am to 12:00pm (CT)

About

Convict Hill Quarry Park is a small but scenic and historical park. Limestone from the park was used to build the state capital in the 1880's, a project that required brutal labor and conditions.
The park was created with the leadership of Dr. Jim Turney and the many, many volunteer hours that were spent on creating this wonderful piece of nature.

We need quite a few volunteers to mulch the trails and clear away some of the weeds that are near the trails:  Young volunteers, of any age, are welcome.
Mulching the trails gives the paths a nice welcoming look, cushions the tread, and makes the trails more inviting so we try to do this every year. Please come out and join us if you can!
