About

NOTE:  SOS BullSync Registration will close at 11:59pm on Thursday, Jan. 17th, 2019.  Site Selection here on Givepulse will close at Noon on Friday, Jan. 18th, 2019.
----------------------------------------

USF's largest city-wide annual day of service is now a full weekend!  Stampede of Service (SOS) 2019 will truly be bigger and better than ever.

Before accessing this page, you must have first registered here for SOS: http://tinyurl.com/USFSOS19

With a new format for this annual tradition, student participants will be able to choose from a variety of service projects taking place during MLK, Jr. Weekend.  Project options will be offered January 18 - 21, 2019.  This continues to be a great opportunity to make new friends while also making an impact in your community.  Learn more about Stampede of Service and the new format by clicking here.

SOS 2019 Timeline:

  • 11/5/18 - 1/17/19:  Participant (and Site Leader) Registration Form Open on usf.edu/BullSync
  • 1/7/19 @ 10pm:  All registered site leaders receive link via email to select project
  • 1/10/19 @ 10pm:  All registered participants receive link via email to select project
  • 1/14/19 @ 10am-Noon:  Required Site Leader Training - Option A (MSC 2708)
  • 1/14/19 @ 5-7pm:  Required Site Leader Training - Option B (MSC 3709)
  • 1/17/19 @ 5-7pm:  SOS Weekend Kickoff Dinner for all participants and site leaders

  • 2/1/19 @ 10:30am - 12:30pm:  SOS Weekend Wrap-Up Brunch (RSVP on BullSync by 1/28/19)

Additional Notes:

  • Registration Waivers:  Each person participating must register individually through their own account on BullSync because each person must electronically sign the waiver within their own BullSync account
  • Why register?  Registration gives you access to the weekend of service opportunities and access to the Kickoff Dinner.  All community partners will be asked to only accept students for their projects that have registered online with the Center for Leadership & Civic Engagement.
  • Group Registration:  Each registered participant will receive a link to select their project site.  If you would like to serve alongside friends, it is up to you to each click the link you receive and each select the same site.  Keep in mind that sites are available online on a first-come, first served basis.  Additionally, it is recommended participants serve at sites they are passionate about rather than serving somewhere they are not passionate about just because their friends are there.
  • Transportation: Only five projects will have transportation provided.  If you need transportation, look closely to see which sites those are when you receive the site selection email/link.  All other projects will require participants to drive themselves, take public transportation, or carpool.
  • Project Leads:  Separate from Site Leaders, each project will have one student serving as a Project Lead.  If you have any questions about a site or need assistance coordinating, please contact your Project Lead.
  • Attire:  Remember to wear closed-toed shoes, sunscreen, clothes to get dirty in, and bring a water bottle.
  • Under 18?:  Anyone under the age of 18 must bring a signed waiver from a parent/guardian - link:  https://orgsync.com/88083/files/1086973/show

Please direct any questions or concerns to Justin Fitzgerald, Assistant Director, Center for Leadership & Civic Engagement at jtfitzgerald@usf.edu
