Chicago Parks Foundation

About

The Chicago Parks Foundation's mission is to build a stronger community dedicated to supporting and conserving parks in Chicago. In 2013, the Chicago Parks Foundation (CPF) was established as the 501c3 nonprofit and fiscal partner for the Chicago parks. The CPF is a project manager, creative facilitator, and community liaison. CPF is dedicated to helping park users and lovers become park givers and stewards.

Our community work and fiscal partnership includes:

  • Over $20 million facilitated and managed in grants since 2013
  • A first-of-its-kind citywide volunteer effort for the parks comprised of 'It's Your Park Day', 'Pitch In for the Parks' and 'Green Teams', with 5,000+ participating community volunteers and corporate stewards
  • Fiscal partnership, fundraising and programmatic support to 70+ Park Advisory Councils, the heart of our park communities
  • Major legacy park projects like 2.5-acre AIDS Garden Chicago along our Lakefront
  • Training and support to Team ChiParks, our Bank of America Chicago Marathon charity runners who have raised nearly $1 million for Chicago parks
  • Signature park events, community programming, individual giving and CPF Membership Program
  • Dedicated park benches and special park improvement projects
  • Teen employment and youth development in collaboration with community-based organizations

The Chicago Parks Foundation encourages positive, productive park energy throughout the city.
We answer the call. We work together. We support our parks.
