The Mencacha Road Branch Library is a part of the Austin Public Library system.
If you are interested in volunteering with us, there is a protocol to follow.
- First, please preview the available volunteer openings located on the Austin Public Library website located at this link https://library.austintexas.gov/volunteer
- Secondly, fill out the application to volunteer located here. https://www.givepulse.com/group/membership/7668
- Third, after submitting one's application, interested parties must complete a City of Austin Library Department orientation with the Volunteer Coordinator, Paul Lopez, who may be contacted here.

- Next, a Criminal Background Investigation /C.B.I. must be conducted and returned on the perspective volunteer.
- Finally, the cleared volunteer will be connected to the appropriate person at the desired library location, through Paul Lopez.
One may not begin volunteering until these five steps have been completed. 🙂
