About

Welcome to the Zilker Botanical Garden Horticulture Volunteer page! Hort Volunteers at ZBG work alongside the Hort staff to complete a variety of projects in the Garden, including (but not limited to): weeding, planting, trimming, deadheading, mulching, and general cleanup. While experience is always appreciated, it is not necessary!

Opportunities are currently offered 2 times a week, generally Wednesday and Saturday mornings from 8:30 am - 10:30 am.  Please be sure to sign up at least 24 hours before each event so that staff can plan accordingly. Generally, ZBG will provide all necessary tools and materials unless otherwise specified, but feel free to bring any personal favorites like your lucky gardening gloves. More info on dress code, parking, and other requirements can be found under the "Documents" tab above or under each workday listing.
