Sunrise Homeless Navigation Center integrates mental health, physical health, pharmaceutical support, housing navigation, substance abuse, mail distribution, socialization and humanitarian aid under one roof. Our staff and volunteers believe it is important to maintain our services for the health and well-being of our clients.
There are social service providers all over the city, but they lack the ability to draw a person experiencing homelessness into their facilities because the homeless community is first and foremost concerned with addressing their immediate and basic needs, in other words humanitarian aid. Our mission and “Sunrise Model” is that if you want to equip someone and offer them social services you must first get them in the door. By providing humanitarian aid we are able to establish a relationship with each individual and then address the underlying issues that led to their homelessness through social services, which ultimately leads to acquiring sustainable housing.
