City of Austin Youth and Family Services/Initiatives

The Youth and Family Services/Youth Initiatives Office works with a number of programs designed to provide Austin’s youth with career development opportunities. One of the major aims of the office is to assure that youth programming is inclusive of all 7 ISDs City of Austin residents attend, as well as being inclusive of those students that attend charter, private/parochial schools, Texas School for the Deaf, Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired, and students who are home schooled. One of the main projects of the Youth and Family Services Office is the Career Fest which allows high school students to explore and talk with people from different job sectors.
