Austin Nature Preserve System

April Rohlich

Looking forward to dispersing seed balls we made. Happy to see the prairie work being done. Looks great, hopefully get a bit of rain next couple days. Learned about the area and that I need to keep my water closer/ get a camelback in the heat. :) Thanks!

My experience was amazing. The reason I'm giving four stars is because there wasn't any directions besides what google maps showed; no outside directions, I got no email saying we were meeting at St. Edwards first and there wasnt a phone number that I could call. I was only able to make it the right location by luck that I ran into a student that had the phone number of one of the volunteers. But once I got there I enjoyed my experience. I'm not an St. Edwards student but was able to sign up so I didn't know the professor's or student's. So I'm hoping next time there will be a bit more detail about the exact meeting location on GivePulse because I spent about 55 minutes hiking the trails trying to find people.

It was cold, but worth it. Beautiful grassland restoration project. I can't wait for next month.
