We had a very productive work day, despite the fact that the vendor for granite to use in resurfacing our Gus Fruh trail did not show up. With great flexibility, we turned to invasives plant removal, and put an end to a large grove of invasive Nandina plants. We now have a fresh opening for Native Plant growth. We had about 40 people digging and cutting and enjoying the camaraderie of working together for the benefit of a place that we love.

Glee gave to National Trails Day
We had a pleasurable and productive work day with the help of our Greenbelt Guardians team leaders and a hardy group of volunteers. We were able to resurface an eroded portion of the packed granite switchback entry trail, widen the trail by cutting back overgrown vegetation, restabilize the stone trail edging, plus remove invasive nandina and ligustrum plants. Several volunteers also attended the very festive gathering at Rosewood Park.
