Fix-It Austin

About

Fix-It Austin builds community and educates residents about the value of repair and reuse. Repair keeps items out of landfills and decreases the need for new, raw materials to make products. You can help Austin reach its Zero Waste goal by 2040 by learning how to repair clothes, appliances or electronics. You can also find a local repair business to support our local economy by visiting the Austin Reuse Directory (www.austinreusedirectory.com).

We currently seek volunteers to help at Fix-It Clinics. If you're handy with a hammer, skilled with a sewing machine or educated about how electronics work, you'd make a great Fix-It coach! Coaches work directly with clinic attendees to guide them in fixing their broken items. Fix-It Clinics are educational events, so teaching repair skills is your primary role as a volunteer coach.

I got an email with a link to this page. I have helped in the past with events. My skills are sewing. This website is very clunky. I can’t figure out where to find stuff or how to help. any input from y’all?
