About
Do this for you! Email Linda@NewBeginningsNWA.org when you want to help those in our backyard.
Come put together a simple meal with up to 6 friends and get volunteer hours!
You have probably seen us in South Fayetteville with the small white cabins! New Beginnings is a bridge housing community for homeless people to transition to permanent homes. Come make an easy meal for 30 people. We have some simpler recipes to choose from like spaghetti with meat sauce and sloppy joes.
It's a chance to make some meaningful connections and help people feel their self worth. One couple cooking asked a resident his favorite meal, they cooked it their next visit. The resident said of the care from the couple, that at first he felt the love and then felt he was worth the love, all thru food. You too can make a change.
Please take a look at our Meal Train calendar and sign up for a date: Mealtrain.com/gognne
We have 30 residents living on site and have a fully functional semi commercial kitchen. We have prepped meal kits ready for cooking, ez recipe book or bring your own.
You may come cook as early as needed, but dinner is usually served around 5:00! We have pots, pans, spices, etc. for those cooking on-site. Please email to ask questions or talk about recipes and ingredients we can help with!
